How is Redmi 6? Is it Worth Buying Under 8000 Budget?
How is Redmi 6?
Redmi 6 is a new entry in Redmi 6 series followed by Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro. Though Redmi 6 comes with Mediatek Chipset while other two packed with Snapdragon chipset.
Redmi 6 offers you a tall screen with soft navigation keys. It is good for watching videos and playing game. If you love to read and write, then you will be impressed by its 18: 9 display. Moreover, you can scroll your social media in tall 5.45 display and can screenshot the most part of your wall.
Redmi 6 for Gaming
Redmi 6 is made for moderate gaming. If you are a kind person who like to play just to kill time. You will be impressed by its performance. It offers 32GB of storage with almost 29GB out of the box. It comes with dedicated card slot so you can increase its capacity upto 256GB.
Also, the other upside is its battery. Its 3000 mAh Battery offers you hours of gameplay.
Thanks to its octa core processor, I am able to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas at high visual settings. I have faced some occasional lags but that's okay 👌.

Now come to PUBG Mobile. I am able to play PUBG on low settings. But medium gives me hell of a lags.
Unlike GTA, PUBG is made on unreal Engine. Rendering a unreal engine object utilize much more memory and CPU so its okay for your mobile to lag.
If you're looking for a mobile specially for PUBG Mobile then you should look for Redmi 6 Pro.

Now, come to Asphalt Series. Asphalt Nitro and Asphalt 8 can be played without any issue. You can play Asphalt 8 without any lag on this device. However, the new entry which is Asphalt 9 only works with high end device. You can expect this game to be played on your Redmi 6.
Redmi 6 for Reading Kindle and Other Books
If you're avid reader and looking to purchase a tall 18:9 device. You can definitely go for Redmi 6. This low budget android phone under 10000 offers you a large screen to read more of your story without scrolling.
Its text rendering is very smooth. For eye safety purpose it comes with Read Mode out of the box. Also, most of the reading apps like Kindle, Wattpad, Juggernaut books offer full text customization.
Redmi 6 for Blog Writing
Almost every person I met is writing something on blog, reddit, quora, or other popular writing sites. If you're one of the social media writer you will like to write over its tall screen. Also the keyboard which comes pre-installed with it is also smooth for fast typing. I have made this post right from my Redmi 6.If, for some reason, you don't like its pre-installed Facemoji Emoji keyboard. You can install TouchPal Keyboad from play store. Both Facemoji and Touchpal are free on play store and offer myriad of customization features, emojis, text moji's, and custom backgrounds.
Redmi 6 for Screen Recording, Video Editing, Vlogging, Tik Tok, ETC
If you're one of the VLogger, Records game on your mobile, review mobile apps, or make Tik Tok video. You will like to know that Redmi 6 will satisfy all your needs.
For screen recording, Redmi 6 packs its own screen recording app out of the box. Though, it is very limited to just recording purpose only. You can download DU Recorder or Mobizen from google play for more customization.
Is Redmi 6 Worth Buying Under 8000 Budget?
Now come to the real question. Is Redmi 6 worth buying in this budget? Yes, it is. Redmi 6 offers you more features at less price. I brought my Redmi 6 at even lower price (Rs.6999) thanks to Flipkart Big Billion Offer. I personally think it should be price above 8000. Basically, the competitor are costing smartphones with similar features at around 9000 and so.
The only downside I feel is that its too slim and a bit rough while holding in hands. This can be solved buying a high quality back cover for Redmi 6.
My overall experience with this phone is good. The new MIUI 10 also looks dope and offer iOS user experience.
Yet another drawback is it is bloated with Ads and Promotional contents. The Mi Video and Music app is very bad.
Mi has contracted with Hungama to offer their service via the default app. You can totally avoid this app if you like to play through your own library. Otherwise, having this app could be a plus point if you likely to install Gaana or Hungama itself.
Still a drawback for me and other like me who prefer old school music player.
Video player. I bet you gonna install third party MX player or VLC afterall. Typical smartphone users #forthewin.
MIUI launcher comes with Quick Apps features which could be good or bad depending on your usage. If you want to avoid it, try Pocco launcher offered by Xiaomi itself.
I think I have covered a lot in this Redmi 6 Value for Money article. If you think I missed something, just let me know via the comments.
